LionsBase

LionsBase is the reference management application for the Lions Club.

Created in 2001 for the Lions Club in Fribourg-Sarine Western district, this multi-language web application was soon adopted by the whole of the 102 multi-district (Switzerland and Liechtenstein).

This solution evolved over the years and is now based on TYPO3 CMS to allow clubs to customize their automatically generated website. Each club manages its own members and club’s data online, keeping a total control over public and private information. Clubs can enter the complete history of their activities, annual calendar and archives, as well as the number of members and the composition of the committee.

On the desired day, the Lions magazine printer automatically receives an up-to-date list of subscribers.

Mutations among clubs are synchronised every night with the central server in Oakbrook, United States.

LionsBase Mobile

Since mid-2011, LionsBase is also available in mobile version to improve your viewing from a mobile phone. It enables targeted access to LionsBase core-features (e.g., upcoming events, address book) rather than the personal pages of the clubs.
