In the digital age, enterprises and citizens should be able to ask for an administrative authorisation or an official register extract electronically. Thanks to the eGov CH Reference project, they can access any useful information online 24/7 and order via internet or mobile phone.
Context
The State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) wanted to improve the online access to the administrative services they offer through its eGov API web service.
This specific project aimed to make those various services easily accessible for municipalities and administrations using a TYPO3 CMS based website.
Creation
The egovapi TYPO3 extension was developed at the beginning of 2011 and is since then regularly enhanced to reflect the evolution of the underlying web services. It provides a targeted access to the hierarchical classification of administrative services with customizable views such as “lists” or “detail”.
This tool is compatible with TYPO 4.4 and up. The use of the 4.5 LTS version allows for a totally adaptable layout of the eGov Reference information.
The source code as well as the documentation are accessible on TYPO3 official servers, according to the open source software philosophy.
This extension has been installed and is being kept up-to-date on approximately 15 TYPO3 websites.
